• 基盤研究(C), Apr. 2020 - Mar. 2023, 20K00289, Principal investigator, 書物の構成要素とジャンルの相関に関する分析書誌学的研究：「未来記」の変容を中心に, 鈴木 広光, 日本学術振興会, 科学研究費助成事業 基盤研究(C), 奈良女子大学, 1950000, 1500000, 450000, （１）明治以降の近代の「未来記」について、書名に「未来」とあるものも含めてほとんどの刊行物の現物を収集することができた。結果、近代の「未来記」が扱うトピックと書物の形態の変遷を把握することができた。明治11年以降「未来」を冠する書物はしばらくの間は、翻訳書がほとんどである。SF小説やロシア語論文からの翻訳地政学書『一島未来記』などジャンルは様々であるが、近藤真琴の『新未来記』を除くといずれも、洋装で活字組版や紙質などにも意を払った丁寧な作りの書物である。明治18、19年になると時局に応じて二つのトピックを扱う「未来記」が数多く出版される。ひとつは明治23年の国会開設まで5年を切り、その問題が明らかになってきたことを論じる「二十三年未来記」で末広鉄腸ほかいくつかの類似タイトルのものが刊行された。ただし、その狂騒はほとんど明治19年、20年を以て終える。同時期に内地雑居に関連して、坪内逍遥の『内地雑居 未来之夢』、『内地雑居経済未来記』などが刊行された。『未来之夢』を除くと、「二十三年未来記」や内地雑居関係はいずれもボール表紙本で刊行されている。明治20年代には「未来」を冠する書物の出版は低調になるが、その後は、もっぱら日露戦争や日米開戦を扱う戦争関係の「未来記」が世に出回るようになる。形態としては雑誌の付録や新聞の号外を模した形態のものになり、戦争を娯楽として消費することを目的として出版形態をとるようになる。当該の戦争よりも前に戦争を煽るかのように出版されているのが特徴である。近代日本の「未来記」は以上のような変遷を経ていることが明らかになった。
  （２）A・ロビダの『20世紀』（1883年）の日本語訳が明治18年から20年にかけて三種出版された。これらの翻訳の影響関係について原典を対照して明らかにした。『世界未来記』は、内地雑居を意識して抄訳していることが明らかになった。, kaken

In order to clarify this, we interpret it in relation to the mutual influence relationship between the supply of texts such as transcription, printing and publishing, and the demand for the texts such as the place of reading, the class of reades and the way of reading. Then, it aims to present one viewpoint for constructing a new history of writing communication. The results of this research are as follows. (1) Not only punctuation marks, paragraphs and chapters、but also the proper use of the letters used in the notation of the text is involved in the segmentation and structuring of the text.The reader is governed by these factors in semantic interpretation.(2) On the other hand, the semantic interpretation of texts is involved in the standardization of punctuation., kaken

  constituting the printed surface and the book has prepared, and the standard format of the book has established.(1) The combination of Min style type and Hiragana type let down the relationship between typeface of woodcut book in the Edo period and genre, style. As a result, this combination became the standard typeface in the type print books since the latter half of the Meiji era.(2) The use of punctuation marks came to be done at the forefront of the field facing the language itself, such as translating foreign languages and exploring new written words.(3) In general, the replication technique called shikei (paper type) is thought to compensate for preservation of the original which is a weak point of typographic printing, but in the case of type printing in the first half of the Meiji period, it was also a device for generating different editions., kaken_url

• Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research (C), Apr. 2010 - Mar. 2013, 22520180, Principal investigator, Analytical bibliography researches on texts in hiragana and kanji of Old Printed Editions based on the elucidation of the standard of the type and the composition., SUZUKI Hiromitsu, Japan Society for the Promotion of Science, Grants-in-Aid for Scientific Research Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research (C), Nara Women's University, 3120000, 2400000, 720000, The purpose of this research is to demonstrate what kind of methods are on a standard of the type size and the composition of types in hiragana and kanji of the Old Printed Editions, so called “Kokatsujiban”, As a result of having investigated the use situation of the hiragana type in the Old Printed Editions cyclopedically, I identified that there were three methods as the standard of hiragana type and the type-setting. The most common method is that the body size (body height) is set an integral multiple of an em and types are set solid. In addition, after investigating printed surfaces of Tsurezuregusa published around the beginning of the Keicho era, it became clear that type of 1.5 times of an em was in body size other than types of the integral multiple of an em. This method is extremely rare. On the other hand, there were only four works of Old Printed Editions, i.e. Mugonsho, Turezuregusajumyoinsho, Azumakagami（Fushimi ed.）, Turezuregusa(Karasumaru Mitsuhiro ed.) which adopted the body size proportion to the length of a letter or ligature and the type-setting method to give the adjustment between characters. To demonstrate the feature of printed letter style in Old Printed Editions, so-called Kokatsujiban and wood block printing books in Edo era, we adopt a new analysis method, which is to attach electronic tags to digital images of printed characters. The results of this research are as follows.
  1. We investigated all printed letters in Sagahon "Ise Monogatari" reprinted in 1608 and demonstrated a kind and the use situation of printing types. In addition, we edited a specimen of printed letters in the same book.
  2. We compared the type face of Sagahon with that of the other texts in kana and kanji of Old Printed Editions, then analyzed the feature of their style. As a result of investigation, in most Old Printed Editions, the equalization of the size of characters influenced by the standardized size of type body was observed. On the other hand, it developed that various devices were done to represent spontaneous style of hiragana character in Sagahon.
  3. Concerning about Hiragana character in wood block printing books, we tried the comparison of the early and the late in Edo era to demonstrate the aspect of a diachronic change of the style. When it compared it with a book printed in the early period, it became clear the tendencies such as the decrease of the consecutive letters, the equalization of the size of characters, the ossification of the style of characters in the latter period., kaken

  1.平成16年度に高精密デジタル画像化した嵯峨本『伊勢物語』(慶長13年初刊本)の印字と版面に写り込んだインテル・クワタの痕跡から以下の事柄が判明した。該書の印刷に使用された木活字は縦12・6mm、横14.2mmを全角とし、縦寸法2〜4倍に規格化されたものである。(2)組版はベタ組みである。(3)インテルの幅は2.6mmである。これらのデータをもとに、2DビジュアルCGによる組版想定図を作成した。
  2.該書の印字悉皆調査をコンピュータ上で行い、印字の精細な異同識別によって、使用された木活字が2130種にのぼることが判明した。この印字悉皆調査の結果を「印字標本集」として、本研究課題の研究成果報告書に公開した。
  3.研究協力者高木浩明を中心に、嵯峨本『伊勢物語』初刊11伝本の全丁調査を行い、部分異植字という組版上の特色とその具体的異同状況を明らかにした。この成果も研究成果報告書に公開している。
  4.上記の研究成果を、「嵯峨本『伊勢物語』の活字と組版」と題して、日本近世文学会平成17年度秋季大会(於奈良女子大学、2005年11月5日)で口頭発表した。この発表にもとづく論文を学会誌『近世文芸』に投稿した。
  5.コンピュータを用いた書誌学、印刷史研究の方法の開発について、開発協力者津田光弘(研究協力者)と連名で、「嵯峨本『伊勢物語』の木活字及び組版分析モデルに関する報告」と題して、第11回公開シンポジウム・人文科学とデータベース(2005年12月3日,於大阪樟蔭女子大学)で口頭発表した(発表者はプログラム開発者の津田)。, kaken

  禅宗文化については、木田は、『碧巌録』の受容と註釈史を調査し、妙心寺大応派の東海派の悟渓宗頓の弟子たちの作成した「碧巌録抄」が、大応国師、大灯国師以来、連綿と続いてきた註釈活動を、漢文註として書き留めてきた註釈書を元にして講義を行っていたことを突き止めた。また、李は、これらの禅籍の漢文を通じて、日本語に宋代元代の俗語が混入してき、日本語の中で、血となり肉となって、現代語を構成して来ていることも、具体的に明らかにしつつある。
  キリシタン文化については、基本的存調査を行った。たとえば、丸山は、16世紀のポルトガル語文法書、Barrosの文法書、Gandavoの文法書など、これまで活字化されていなかったのであるが、それらを文脈付き索引の形で公刊したのは、世界中の研究者から賞賛された。さらに、コンカニ語・ポルトガル語辞書の整理も平行して行っている。鈴木は、バレト写本の註釈と、この写本の元となった聖書の原典追求も継続している。, kaken

We went about this by first collating the first published text into paragraphs and pairing this with the original Turgenev text he is thought to have used. Translating the latter into modern Japanese, we proceeded to discuss and analyze the work over several workshop sessions.
  The commentary itself was targeted at the level of individual words ; while providing phonetic glosses for kanji characters lacking them, we also aimed to illuminated Shimei's vocabulary by locating as many examples as possible from contemporary sources. We also attempted to pin down the differences between the original and his abridged version included in "Karakoi" ("Unrequited Love," 1896). For a number of words in Turgenev's original, we showed the definitions included in the Russian-Japanese dictionary "Rowa jii" (1887), which Shimei's is said to have helped compile.
  This commentary is the first systematic attempt to analyze Shimei's translation in the light of the original and of contemporary Japanese literary sources. The outcome displays the process of both Japanese and Russo-European literature. We intend to continue our project to its end, and in the future to publish the results., kaken
