This research developed questions to capture sexual orientation and gender identity (cisgender or transgender) through focus groups and other methods. Using a questionnaire that includes SOGI questions and questions on employment status, economic status, mental and physical health, suicidal ideation, attitudes toward gender, family, and SOGI-related policies, and experience of being bullied, a mail survey was administered to 15,000 randomly selected residents of Osaka City in 2019. 4,285 responses were collected, and results of analysis by SOGI comparison of educational attainment, income, and physical and mental health were presented in academic conferences and papers. First, I did a questionnaire survey of nursing directors to learn to what extent the medical system was ready to deal with sexual diversities. Second, I was able to prepare a list of nurses who would be willing to be interviewed about having had LGBT patients, by enclosing a request letter. As a result of the survey, I came to understand that same-sex partners tended to not be treated as “family,” and that the atmosphere at the hospitals has made transgender patients hesitate to seek medical services.   まず、日本では子育てに関心をもつLGBTのセルフヘルプグループAでの参与観察を継続し、さらに機縁法にて3名からインタビューの協力をえた。グループAとはかかわりのない1名の協力者にも追加インタビューを実施した。これらの成果として1)「産む」身体をもつレズビアン・バイセクシュアル女性とそのパートナーの女性を中心とする出産・子育てが可視化しつつあること、2)逆に「産む」身体を持たないゲイ・バイセクシュアル男性、MtFトランスジェンダーの子育てが間接的なものか、不可視化されていること、3)レズビアン・バイセクシュアル女性と精子提供者との新たな親密性の萌芽が見られること、を明らかにした。
  次に、サンフランシスコでの在外研究中、文献研究やLGBT家族形成に関する各種シンポジウムの出席、インタビュー調査に取り組んだ。その結果、1）LGBT家族が人種・エスニシティ・階級・世代によって異なる経験をしていることを把握し、さらに2)LGBT家族のアドボカシー団体とのネットワーク作りに成功した。
  在外研究では、LGBTが家族を形成する場に、人種・エスニシティ・階級・世代が交差するというインターセクショナリティの重要性を確認した。今後の日本におけるLGBT家族の研究では、インターセクショナリティの視点からの考察が課題となった。, kaken

• 特別研究員奨励費, 2009 - 2010, 09J03758, レズビアン・ゲイの「家族」―「家族」へのインタビュー調査にもとづく社会学的考察, 三部 倫子, 日本学術振興会, 科学研究費助成事業 特別研究員奨励費, お茶の水女子大学, 2000000, 2000000, 本研究の目的は以下の二つである。1)日本のレズビアン・ゲイ・バイセクシュアル(以下「LGB」)と、LGBを子に持つ異性愛の親との関係から「家族」とは何かを問うこと、2)ジェンダー/セクシュアリティの交錯の力学が、「家族」を磁場にどのように生じているのかを明らかにすることである。
  平成22年度は、LGB本人との親へのインタビュー調査、LGB「コミュニティ」と「親を支援する会」への参与観察調査を実施した。インタビュー調査から、次の2つの成果を得た。1)親は我が子がLGBであると知ったことを契機に、「縁者によるスティグマ」を意識するようなること、2)性的マイノリティの娘を持つ親たちが、娘の将来に対して具体的不安を抱いていることが確認された。親たちは、男性との生活を選ばない娘は、経済的に不安定な立場に置かれるのではないかと心配していたのである。性的マイノリティの息子のいる親たちは、「跡継ぎがいなくなった」と嘆く一方で、将来の経済的な心配はしないなど、ジェンダーによる非対称性が明らかとなった。参与観察調査からは、以下の2点の知見が示された。1)先行研究では定位家族の代理として位置づけられていたLGBによる「コミュニティ」は、アイデンティティや恋人を調達する場になりえても、現状では定位家族の代替とは言い切れないこと、2)「親を支援する会」には親の立場、子の立場双方が参加しているため、両者の間に「擬似的親子」関係が生じ、実の親子関係における葛藤を解消する資源となっていることである。
  本研究は、「家族」の定義を根本から見直す批判的視座を提供する点で、既存の家族研究に対して重要な意義をもつ。さらに、LGBの間に横たわるジェンダー/セクシュアリティの力学の差によって、LGBそれぞれの「家族」経験が異なることを明示し、ジェンダー研究、レズビアン・ゲイ・スタディーズ、クィア研究の発展にも寄与するものである。, kaken
